FAQ

Is there a lot of walking?

No. Both tours are a leisurely stroll through town, almost entirely on sidewalks, with many stops along the way. We are not climbing mountains or hills.

The Morrison tour is 1/2 mile in length.

The Golden tour is 1 mile in length.

Will I see a ghost?

Maybe. I can’t guarantee you will see a ghost. Some people have experienced strange sensations and others have captured anomalies on camera. Photographs are encouraged.

Do we go into buildings?

No. Most of the properties are private residences or operating businesses that we do not want to disturb.

In Morrison, we do start and end at the Red Rocks Beer Garden which allows us inside.

Can I bring a camera?

Absolutely! Still photos are encouraged throughout the tour. Video is ok as long as you are not planning to use for commercial purposes. Ask permission for publishing video.

Is the tour scary?

I’ll leave that to your imagination. There are no jump scares (unless the locals do something). Some stories can be a little disturbing, particularly on the Golden tour. I have yet to encounter a negative entity.

Is the tour appropriate for children?

Both tours, at times, deal with stories of murder, suicide, and death. I will let you judge your child’s tolerance for such information.

The Golden tour has a couple of stories that may be less appropriate for children as there is a little bit of salty language, a story of children’s death, and a topic I usually let the parents explain.

What should I wear?

Because the tour is outdoors, please dress appropriately for the weather. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. The tours will operate rain or shine except in extreme conditions.

Do you offer private tours?

Absolutely! I require a minimum of 15 people for a private tour. During the last couple of weekends of October (Fridays and Saturdays), the minimum is 25 people. Contact us for more information or to arrange.

Can I request alternate dates?

Yes! If you have 5 or more people, and I’m available, I will usually grant your request. Please give at least a few days notice. I will open the date for your group and for others to join.

Can I bring alcohol on the tour?

Unfortunately, neither town allows open container.

Can I bring my dog on tour?

This is Colorado, so people bring their dogs everywhere. As long as the dog is very well-behaved, leashed, and doesn’t cause any disturbances they will be allowed.

Can I smoke on tour?

Smoking is not allowed. In Golden, there is an ordinance that prevents smoking and vaping on Washington Avenue and other areas of town.
